Ian Young

CEO

Ian is CEO of CFO Centre Canada, which he launched in 2011 and has since grown into one of the largest operations in the global network, with more than 100 CFOs across 10 regions. With over 25 years of experience as CFO for some of Canada’s leading retailers, he brings deep expertise in strategy, funding, and turnaround leadership. Ian’s purpose is twofold: to give SMEs access to world-class financial leadership on flexible terms, and to provide experienced CFOs with independent, fulfilling careers. A proud father of two sons, he believes that family and legacy sit at the heart of all meaningful work.

Paul Nagpal

President & COO

After gaining his MBA from Rotman at the University of Toronto and an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, Paul Nagpal went on to successfully support business clients to create not only a competitive advantage but also a life and business they profit from personally and professionally. This is something Paul has developed ample expertise at over his 20 years at Deloitte, Kearney, and Strateva before joining the Canadian CFO Centre. You will also find Paul stepping up as a partner and strategic advisor to both enterprise and small business owners. His passion for the entrepreneur has led to his primary focus being on small and mid-market organizations over the last decade. Paul Einarson

Regional Director & CFO

Paul Einarson, CPA (CA), leads a team of fractional CFOs in Montreal as Regional Director, bringing extensive expertise in financial strategy, organizational transformation and the leadership of complex industrial operations. With over 20 years of experience as a CFO and CEO, he drives growth, operational discipline, and stakeholder confidence across global markets. Paul leads complex transformations, including ESG programs, capital strategies, board renewals, and financing negotiations, using data, governance, and strategic insight. Recognized for his versatility and strategic acumen, Paul delivers high-quality execution with a human touch, building consensus and leading with purpose. He is fluent in both English and French. Gareth Nichols

With extensive international finance experience across both public and private sectors, Gareth Nichols specializes in helping business owners achieve their strategic goals. Serving as the Regional Director for Western Ontario since 2018, Gareth also brings a wealth of expertise as a fractional CFO, supporting the financial growth of numerous expanding companies. In addition to professional accomplishments, Gareth is committed to community engagement, volunteering with a local community foundation and soccer club.

With over a decade of experience as CEO of a complex crown corporation generating approximately $500 million in annual revenue, Bob has demonstrated a proven ability to lead organizations through growth and transformation. He also served as Chair of the Audit Committee for a company with more than $1 billion in annual revenue and has been on the Board of an organization whose brands accounted for around $5 billion in revenue. Robert is well connected in the automotive industry and related government agencies. Past board member of APMA (Canadian Auto Suppliers Association) and Accelerate ZEV (Electric Vehicle Supply Chain Advocacy). He was public company CFO for an industrial real estate holding company and a software company, VP Finance for a pet products retailer / franchisor and worked at the Molson Companies in the early part of his career.
