John brings over three decades of senior financial leadership experience, having served as CFO for multiple early-stage and growth-stage companies. He has partnered closely with founders and CEOs to build long-term, sustainable businesses through disciplined cash flow management, capital planning, and board-level reporting. John also brings deep experience as an investment banker and family office investor, combining strategic insight with hands-on financial execution to support growth, acquisitions, and long-term value creation.

  • Supported growth-stage technology companies by leading capital raising, cash flow forecasting and shareholder relations including leading multiple successful capital raises, totalling $7 million across three rounds, for FanXchange, an online ticket marketplace
  • Designed and implemented short and long term cash forecasting models for GreenTank Technologies, enabling effective financial planning during rapid growth in the cannabis technology sector
  • Served as a trusted advisor to early-stage companies through MaRS (a Toronto-based startup incubator), providing strategic financial guidance, governance support and founder mentorship
