Business leader and entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience, passionate about inspiring and coaching other leaders and entrepreneurs on their journey to realising their hopes and dreams. As Co-founder and CEO of The CFO Centre South Africa, I have had the opportunity to be part of and celebrate the successes of many of our Clients, from diverse industries, facing varying challenges since 2010.

Colin Mills
Founder and Executive Chairman
Colin founded The FD Centre, later rebranded as The CFO Centre, in 2001 and is now Chairman of The Liberti Group. With over two decades of leadership experience, he has served as FD and CEO across diverse industries, including construction, FMCG, retail, IT, and property. A CIMA member and Henley MBA graduate, Colin established the first-ever fractional finance director service, now a global model, bringing large-business standards to SMEs through flexible, senior-level financial leadership.

Julie Mills
Director
Julie co-founded The CFO Centre alongside Colin Mills in 2001, playing a vital role in shaping the early foundations of the business. While Colin focused on client delivery, Julie managed everything else, from operations to finance, often from the family dining table. As the business grew, she became the heart of the company culture, supporting the team and keeping everything running smoothly from their home base at Badgers Brook. She remains a major shareholder and is actively involved in key investment decisions, continuing to contribute to the business’s growth and legacy. Julie is also a proud mum to four sons—each playing a part in the next generation of the company’s journey.

Jamie Mills
Group COO
Jamie began his career as a trained engineer before founding a luxury bespoke bathroom installation business in 2004, serving high-net-worth clients. While closely connected to The CFO Centre since its launch in 2001, he formally joined the business in 2015. Since then, he has worked across marketing, operations, and commercial leadership. Jamie was appointed CEO in January 2020, guiding the business through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Sara Daw
Group CEO
Sara is Group CEO of The CFO Centre and The Liberti Group, having joined as a CFO in 2005. She’s one of the pioneers of fractional and part-time executive leadership, helping thousands of C-suite professionals build portfolio careers in the access economy. Sara is the author of Strategy and Leadership as Service, and Executive Freedom, and holds an MBA from London Business School. She’s also a Chartered Accountant and an Oxford Chemistry graduate. She brings commercial insight, academic rigour, and a transformational mindset to her leadership of The CFO Centre.
