A Scottish qualified Chartered Accountant, I gained both International and Operational experience with a number of senior Group Chief Financial Officer roles in people orientated businesses including Event Management, International Consultancy, Executive Search and PR / Advertising before joining the CFO centre in March 2018. I now works with a variety of SME clients.

Track record highlights

  • Preparation and submission of a successful CBIL application for a CFO centre client badly affected by the pandemic.
  • Developed a successful plan to manage core banking relationship around a period of exceptional growth and related debtor book increase during the Olympics in London.
  • Negotiated directly with HMRC around an extended deferred payment programme over an unusually long 23 month period.
  • Established international operating subsidiaries in both Europe and the Middle East for expanding companies & developed strong legal, banking and sponsor relationships to support these new companies.
  • Developed an Information Memorandum covering a 5 year period to support a £3m offer of investment.
  • Transformed Group shareholding structure through complex but tax efficient bonus to shares programme that enabled 16% of revised equity to be held by staff who gained when Group later sold.
