With over 25 years of financial/business experience I have the commercial acumen to help find practical solutions to overcome your business challenges.

I am an experienced FD/CFO who enjoys working alongside entrepreneurs to succeed with their business aspirations and reach their goals, from the initial start-up phase through to growth stages and working alongside the owners to realise future exit strategies.

My entrepreneurial spirit drives the financial support and consultancy provided to SMEs in multiple sectors.

I am a hands-on, commercially focussed business partner with international experience gained primarily within the operating business units of multinational engineering and manufacturing groups. These groups have been both listed and US PE backed. I have successfully improved profitability and cash flows, strengthened the control and risk environment, developed teams, and restored the credibility of financial data/analysis. My various roles have seen me deliver this success whilst working with over 10 senior leadership teams (SLTs) in the past 20 years at businesses located in the US, UK, Europe and Asia.

I am an experienced CFO/Finance Director with a track record of working with ambitious SMEs providing guidance and support to business owners, boards and leadership teams to achieve the financial future that is right for them and their business.

I am an energetic and highly successful CFO operating as a value added business partner to the CEO. A great communicator with a fine record of achievement throughout my career. Since joining The CFO Centre in 2009, I have assisted three CEO’s in achieving trade sales of their businesses.

I am a commercially focused finance director and business leader with experience of working in businesses at various stages of development including start-up, scale-up and established companies undertaking acquisitions, post-merger integrations, process improvement, retrenchment, fund raising and exits including private equity and trade sales.

I have spent 20 years working with SMEs and larger businesses up to £200m turnover, increasing profitability, cash flow and the overall value of these companies. During this time I have worked with various stakeholders including business owners, banks and private equity investors helping with fundraising, strategic planning, finance restructuring and exits in UK and a number of other countries.

I have extensive experience in FD, Non Executive Director and Commercial roles in Banking, Mining and Shipping sectors internationally. I specialise in improving profitability, efficiency and effectiveness. I like to understand the business and challenge the status quo to look for potential improvements such as targeted metrics, business process improvements or automation.
