Founded by Rebecca Deane, Creating Change Psychology is a large private psychology practice based in Bella Vista, Sydney. Their vision is to empower generations to know their value and be calm, connected and in control. With a team varying between 20-30 clinicians and support staff, they provide high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals, couples, and families across the Hills District and beyond.

The challenge.

As the business grew, they reached a point where their systems and financial oversight couldn’t keep up with the scale of operations.

Founder, Rebecca Deane, is a leader in her field of psychology but had no specific financial management training, resulting in quick decisions without the right data.

They needed clearer visibility of financial performance, forecasting and strategic planning to ultimately support sustainable growth.

 

The approach.

When Creating Change first engaged with The CFO Centre, Rebecca was snowed under – overwhelmed with the juggle of running a business and trying to keep on top of financial pressures. Rebecca found herself spending too much time in the business rather than on it.

The business was successful and had a tax accountant and bookkeeper, but Rebecca really needed some expert guidance around their operating systems, cash flow, effective resource levels and debt management.

Business overheads were high with contractor and resourcing costs, so we needed to assist Rebecca in reducing these expenses while developing a forecast and budget to support business growth.
