With over 25 years of international finance and strategic leadership experience, Marco Villarreal is a seasoned CFO and Chief Investment Officer recognized for driving growth, optimizing performance, and leading high-performing teams across six continents.
Marco delivers full-spectrum financial leadership to mid-sized and large organizations, helping them build enterprise value, strengthen capital structures, and implement scalable financial strategies that support sustainable growth.
Previously, Marco served as CFO and CIO at Qualfon Data Services Group, where he structured and renegotiated syndicated loans with JPMorgan, Santander, and HSBC to fund expansion and acquisitions as well as scaling the company, leading multiple due diligence and post-merger integrations.
Marco began his career in strategic planning leadership roles at CEMEX, PepsiCo, and Proeza Group, where he executed multi-country growth strategies, led M&A and post-merger integrations, and supported expansions in Africa, Europe, and Asia.
He holds master’s degrees from Northwestern University (MBA, Kellogg), McGill University (M.Eng.), and Louisiana State University Shreveport (M.Sc. Nonprofit Administration), and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
