I have been a group finance director for many years plus interim MD for SME many companies. Industries I have operated in accounting practice, fashion, satelite technology, printing, jewellery, construction, transport, food groups. I have been both a business owner, equity owner, consultant and support charities through trustee roles. Qualifications are FCCA MBA PGcert CMILT.

Over the last 25 years I have enjoyed leading large, diverse Trading, Securities Services, Finance and latterly Digital Transformation teams as both COO & CFO for HSBC. I enjoy bringing a strategic perspective to any business I’m involved with, but I’m equally happy in amongst the weeds. I look to help firms deliver long term growth by engaging owners, investors, staff and customers.

I am an experienced Chartered Accountant who has worked with UK and US based businesses both Nationally and Internationally. I have since taken this experience and applied it to owner managed and private equity funded businesses to enable them to operate more efficiently and effectively in ways that multi-nationals would without the need necessarily for bureaucracy.

An experienced, hands on Finance Director/CFO with a track record of helping companies grow. I have been the first FD at 6 companies helping founders realise value, setting up global finance teams to enable growth and improve profitability. An excellent communicator and listener, providing actionable insights to business partners to enable great decision making.
