Track Record Highlights

  • Developed and implemented accounting, reporting and computer systems, and developed the accounts, warehouse and customer service team to grow the company from $4M turnover and 9 employees to $17M turnover and 28 employees over 4 years with an accompanying increase in gross margin and operating profit.
  • My strong and constant focus on gross margin and costs saw operating profit increase by 133% between 1995 and 1999. Revenue increased by 96% to $24M with expenses only increasing by 21% and headcount decreasing by 12% overall with a 55% decrease in the Finance and Administration staff
  • Instrumental in turning the Australian company into a profitable business through strong financial management, during my tenure the company transitioned from making a loss, to being consistently profitable. I played a critical role in turning the New Zealand entity from a business which had never made a profit into a profitable business. 2005 was a record profit year for both the Australian and New Zealand companies
  • Reduced company’s 60-day + debtors from 13% of the total A/R to less than 7% which greatly improved cash flow.
  • Spearheaded, negotiated and implemented a dealer financing program for our independent dealers throughout Asia, successfully driving program to influence regional cultural reticence to rental. Resulted in A$24M additional sales of trucks and spare parts as the dealers realised the benefits of rental v sale
